Weird M.C Breaks Silence, As She Prepares Her New Album

Weird M.C is one Rap Artiste that has been on the scene for a while now making hits like Allen Avenue and Ijoya, well the Rap artiste who came out with a new single Happy Day some months back is presently working hard on her new album Titled: Broken Silence.

The Rap artiste disclosed this to Sunday Entertainment recently. Featured artiste on the album includes: Tiwa Savage, Mo cheeda, 9ice, Sasha, Yemi Sax and Dj Zeez. The album which is a fusion of local and international flavour has production from producers like Dj Zeez, Legendary Beats, Mekoyo and T jones.

7th Remembrance Of Stella Damasus' Late Husband + New Talent Hunt In His Honour

On December 3rd 2004, the very talented singer Jaiye Aboderin passed on at the age of 33 after he slumped to death during a game of basketball. The late singer's widow, actress Stella Damasus tweeted: 

''Join me as i celebrate my late husband's 7th remembrance. Jaiyejeje Aboderin ur spirit lives on. keep resting in the lord''.

In honour of the late singer a music talent hunt has been put together called the 'Jay search' the hunt will have a total of 20 finalists.The finale of the hunt will be on the 16th of December at the grand ball room of the Lagos oriental hotel were 6 of them will slug it out for a cash price of N250,000, a recording deal for one single, a video, makeover, publicity, airplay and promotion.

The winners will be selected by the guest whose votes will form 40% of  the final votes, while the remaining 60% will come from the judges. Expected to be in attendance are Nollywood Finest and the music industry finest.

The most anticipated Hip Hop Album fiinally drops as Play Buoy launches is debut album Welcome To Playtown. Play Buoy's new single (Playboy) ft Brymo is currently having massive air play both on TV and Radio.

American Stars, Rick Ross And Sean Kingston To Rock The 2011 Calabar Carnival

Fans of the famous Calabar Carnival will be thrilled this year as the organisers has gone a step further to make the tradition more exciting. Top American Rap artiste Rick Ross and Jamaican American singer Sean Kingston will grace the stage of this year edition to entertain their fans.

Sean Kingston is scheduled to perform at the U. J Esuene sports stadium on Reggae night December 16, while Rick Ross Rocks Calabar on the 28th of December alongside  the likes of  Psquare, Wizkid,  Banky W, Ojb Jezreel, Stunts, and comedian Julius Agwu at U.J Esuene stadium.

Also to perform at the carnival is American Jazz, R&B, Soul and Funk group Kool and the Gang. They would be perfoming at the Governors masked fete on the 20th of December , at the Tinapa water parks dishing out their ever green old skool tunes like Get Down On It, Celebration and Joanna..

This year carnival promises to be bigger and better.

And This Year's Mr Nigeria Is DEJI BAKARE

The third edition of Silverbird’s Mr Nigeria took place on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos. The night of manly show-offs, muscles, six-packs abs and cute faces ended with Deji Bakare being crowned the new Mr Nigeria by Keneth Okoli, the outgoing Mr Nigeria.

Deji, a rapper/singer got the grand prize of One million Naira, a brand new car, a trip to Sao Tome and Principe (including 5 nights at the Pestana Hotels), an Ipad 2 and Blackberry Bold 9900. He will also compete in the Mister World 2011 pageant.

Fourth runner up went to Joseph Agossa, third runner up to Bandele Adebule, Second runner up to Chucks Obichukwu and second position went to Melvin Oduah. Awards for Mr Photogenic, Mr Sports, Mr Amenity, Strongest Man, Mr Smart, Mr Talented, Mr Physique, and Mr Personality went to Henry Ojini, Chidi Onuike, Alex Uriesi, Oluwagbemiga Adetuberu, Ikorishor Ajabi, Deji Bakare, Ugochukwu Uzowuihe and Ayomikun Odunwole respectively.

Early this morning, one of the major headliners of the highly anticipated show, Music Meets Runway, Amber Rose tweeted that she will not be coming to Nigeria to host Music Meets Runway 2011.

Due to recent developments of Amber Roses nude photos that surfaced on the internet last week, we were in discussion as to what to do about the situation with some of our sponsors who had understandably shown some concern (brand affiliation).

We were still working to accommodate Amber when we read Amber Roses tweet about her not being booked to host Music Meets Runway.

Amber has indeed been booked and paid for through a reputable international booking agent and we were shocked as anyone to see the tweet.

This situation is under investigation and details will be passed as more information comes.

The show, Music Meets Runway WILL STILL HOLD comes Saturday, July 9 at Expo Center, Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.

Music Meets Runway is an event poised & designed to create awareness for the laudable and fledging growth the Nigerian fashion industry which has been placed on the international map in recent times.
